I was kind of dreading this semester when I was realizing my work load in all of my classes. I'm taking chemistry, math, english, geography and an education class. I like creative writing and history... none of those classes are in my forte!
This is what I'm realizing though -- my classes will be a lot of "work", but won't necessarily be "hard".There is a lot of homework and due dates in addition to tests which I'm not used to considering last semester was only tests for the most part, but that's okay. My chemistry and math class are full of education majors, and the class is supposedly significantly easier than university chem or math. Phew!
I only have one classes on Friday which is SO nice! I didn't have class until 11:30 yesterday, and so I slept till 10, woke up and did some reading, went to class, grabbed lunch, and then by 12:40 I was in bed and back asleep! I woke up at 4:30 and watched a bit of TV before getting ready to go out with friends. 4 other camp girls and I went to Newks for dinner and then went and saw Beauty and the Beast 3D. What is nice about living in a college town is that they have deals for students. At Newks they had free sodas (and their drinks are SO good!), and then we each got into the movie for $6. In Cypress, a regular movie ticket for an evening movie is $7, and 3D is $12. Thank you College Station!
Although we had all seen Beauty and The Beast before, and the 3D wasn't all that special, it was so much fun to just hang out together! I got back around 11, crawled into bed, and didn't wake up till 10 this morning! I have watched a film for my education class, and am getting ready to go grab some lunch before heading to the library to work on scholarship essays and an english paper. I'll probably be lazy and watch movies here tonight, and Kevin & I will more than likely go to church together in the morning.
Successful first week? I'd think so!
