Work Crew: Session 7

If you think going to camp as a camper is awesome, you should try working there! It's even better!!

WC is a lot of work. We get up way earlier than I ever thought possible, use muscles I never knew I had, are challenged in many new ways, but through it all are given experiences that are truly lifechanging.

My favorite part so far has been Thursday night. The campers were at cabin choice night which required no WC help, so we got to have Work Crew Bonding Time. We played frisbee with some campers, played Catch Phrase, then got to go to Praise and Worship with Hickory and Walnut (middle school and high schoolers). The praise and worship night was called Lifesong, which just so happens to be one of my favorite songs. The songs were so moving, so inspirational, so calming, so peacebringing, so perfect. It was a wonderful night, and it was so neat to see God working in that chapel, impacting campers lives. And work crewers :)

Today my family came up to see me and surprised me by bringing along Renee and Megan. I don't think I realized how much I missed all of them until I had to say goodbye again tonight.

I'm the only work crewer here tonight (other than Rachel) so in enjoying a calm, quiet, and relaxing night.

Session 8 starts tomorrow! I can't wait to do it all again :)
