Relay For Life Anticipation!!!

I GET TO PARTICIPATE AT RELAY FOR LIFE!!! Originally I wasn't going to be able to (for why click here, it's my previous blog post that explains what Relay is, and etc) walk in it, I was only able to help sign people up to participate. I sold bandanna's and raised money, but couldn't actually go to the event because of a church retreat. But with the retreat canceled because of band consuming the rest of my youth group, I'm able to go to Relay For Life!!!

Relay is 29 days away. The event is 7pm-7am April 23-24th. Cy-Falls has 135 people signed up to go, more than any other group (and ultimately beating Cy-Fair High School) which is outstanding for us! We're selling bandannas that say "Team Cy-Falls" in green and gold, carrying around money jars getting donations, setting up fundraisers the day of the event (like a Nerf gun shoot-out, selling brownies, making bracelets, etc), all to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Recently it seems like SO many people are batteling cancer, and I felt like all I could do was sit back and watch and couldn't make a difference. That time is over. I can and will be making a difference this year. And I couldn't be more excited.

On April 23-24 I will be walking in the Cy-Fair Area Relay For Life. For Warren, Grandma Max, Layla, Devin, and Mrs. Katrina. I will make a difference.
