"Science is Cool!"

Well y'all it's official. This chick is DONE with labs for the rest of her college career! In our last biology lab today, we actually got to do some pretty neat things that had us exclaiming (just like Bill Nye the Science Guy) that science is cool!

At one point, we closed our eyes and held our nose while somebody unwrapped a LifeSaver and gave it to us. It was IMPOSSIBLE to figure out what flavor the LifeSaver was since you couldn't smell it. So cool!

We also did an experiment where if there is a brightly colored object right on the brink of your peripheral vision you can see that something is there, but you can't tell what color it is because the cones in your eyes don't focus in that direction. So cool!

We spun a girl around in a rolly spinny chair for a while, then got to watch her eyes bug out as she tried to readjust to the motion. So cool!

We were able to taste solutions and figure out which part of our tongue the taste bud was on for sweet, salty, bitter, sour, and savory tastes. So cool!

I got hooked up to a brain monitor and my group was able to look at and match the brain waves going on. Let's just say I have WAY too much going on up there because it was going off the charts! So cool!

Y'all, as EXCITED as I am to be DONE with science labs, today's was pretty neat!
