Thankful-Day 13

Tonight, I'm thankful for Breakaway!

Breakaway is an on-campus ministry at Texas A&M that combines worship and a message to reach out to college students every Tuesday night. Tonight was a special night called "Go Missions", where mission organizations from around the world came to have booths to give out information. Afterward the "mission fair", Shane & Shane lead worship, and Louie Giglio (well known college minister who leads Passion Conferences) spoke about how missions are everyday. We are all "going" somewhere in life, it's just whether or not we allow Jesus to be the center of it.

Every Tuesday this serves as a wonderful refresher in the middle of the week. Typically we meet in Reed Arena, and on average 4,000-6,000 college students show up. Tonight was a bit different, and we were in Kyle Field. It was 48 degrees outside and rainy. Not a great combination, but thanks to Rachel's fantastic stealth skills, we got some seats under the overhang. The rain stopped before the worship started which was nice, and I had brought my extra comforter to keep us a bit warmer.

Such a wonderful night of worship! God is good and AT WORK here in College Station!
