Rachel: Geeze, I am so thankful for the family that I have gained through my roommate this year. I love just getting to sit and talk with her, share stories about our days, talk about future plans and such like that. Living with somebody who you enjoy living life with is such a blessing!
Water Polo Family: The entire water polo team gets close, but there are also groups within our big team. My "family" consists of Lauren (super senior), Jen (senior), Katie (junior), Me (sophomore), Myriam and Maddie (freshmen). After practice tonight we all went out to dinner and just got to spend time being goofy and silly. Geeze, these girls brighten my day and I love having them in my life!
Laura: All of Cho-Yeh is close, but I have always been really close to Laura. We have a sister-like relationship, and we often address each other as "big sis" and "lil' sister". Tonight we had a good conversation and I was just reminded of how blessed I am to have her in my life.
In college, you don't get to see your family all the time. I'm lucky in the fact that I see my family more than most people do, even if just for a few hours at a time. It is the "families" that you gain in college that are the people who are there during the everyday parts of life. I'm so thankful to be surrounded by such wonderful people! So blessed!
